Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Giza, Saqqara and Memphis
Collection from your hotel or Cairo airport. The Great Pyramid of Khufu, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure and the desert panoramic viewpoint, then the Sphinx entered through the granite Valley Temple. After lunch, thirty minutes south to Saqqara for the Step Pyramid of Djoser and a decorated Old Kingdom noble's tomb, finishing at Memphis with the recumbent colossus of Ramesses II. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2: Grand Egyptian Museum and Old Cairo
An early start at the Grand Egyptian Museum, beginning at the Ramesses II atrium and the Grand Staircase before the main galleries and the Tutankhamun collection. In the afternoon, the Coptic quarter inside the Roman fortress of Babylon with the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue, then Khan El Khalili bazaar. Transfer to Cairo airport or your onward hotel.
