Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: West Bank at opening
The Valley of the Kings with three royal tombs on the standard ticket, the terraced Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, Medinet Habu with its painted battle reliefs, and the Colossi of Memnon. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 2: Optional balloon and the East Bank
An optional sunrise balloon flight over the necropolis, then Karnak in the morning: the hypostyle hall of 134 columns, the sacred lake and Hatshepsut's obelisk. Luxor Museum in the afternoon heat, finishing at Luxor Temple as the lighting comes on. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 3: Dendera and Abydos
North along the valley road to the Temple of Hathor at Dendera for the painted zodiac ceiling, then Abydos for the Temple of Seti I, its seven sanctuaries and the King List. Lunch en route and return to Luxor for your onward transfer.
