Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Giza, Saqqara and Memphis
Collection from Cairo airport or your hotel. The Great Pyramid, Khafre and Menkaure, the desert viewpoint and the Sphinx through the Valley Temple, then Saqqara and Memphis after lunch. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2: Alexandria
North along the desert road. The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa where Egyptian, Greek and Roman funerary art meet in one tomb, Pompey's Pillar, the Qaitbay Citadel on the Pharos foundations, seafood lunch on the corniche and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Return to Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 3: Flight to Luxor and the East Bank
Morning flight south, then Karnak in the late afternoon and Luxor Temple under its evening lighting. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 4: West Bank and departure
The Valley of the Kings at opening, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon, then the flight back to Cairo for your international connection.
