Day tours are organised by departure city rather than by monument. Pick the city you are staying in and you will only see excursions that can start and finish there on the same day.

Yes. Each day tour runs privately with your own guide, vehicle and driver, unless a shared boat or plane seat is stated in the tour itself.
Is hotel pickup included?
Pickup and drop-off at your hotel, Nile cruise ship or airport in the departure city is included in the quoted price.
How far ahead should a day tour be booked?
Two to three days is usually enough. Abu Simbel, hot air balloon flights and Red Sea boat trips fill earlier in high season.
Can Abu Simbel be done as a day trip from Aswan?
Yes. It is a road journey of around three hours each way, so the day starts before sunrise and returns to Aswan in the early afternoon. Staying in Aswan the night before makes it far easier.
Can I visit Luxor as a day trip from Hurghada?
Yes, it is possible and popular, but it is a long day with roughly four hours of driving each way. If you can spare a night, staying in Luxor gives you more time at Karnak and the Valley of the Kings.
Can the pyramids and a museum be combined in one Cairo day?
Yes. Most Cairo itineraries pair the Giza pyramids and Sphinx with a museum or Old Cairo in the same day. Tell us which sights matter most and we will set the order and timing.
What time do day tours usually start?
Early. Starting between 6:00 and 8:00 avoids the midday heat and the biggest crowds, which matters most from May to September in Upper Egypt.
