Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Embarkation in Luxor
Arrival and embarkation in Luxor aboard MS Salacia. Settle into your cabin and meet the crew before an afternoon visit to Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple on the East Bank.
Day 2: Luxor West Bank
Morning visit to the West Bank: the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. The ship then sails south through the Esna Lock towards Edfu.
Day 3: Edfu and Kom Ombo
Morning stop in Edfu to visit the well-preserved Temple of Horus, traditionally reached from the riverbank by horse-drawn carriage. Continue to Kom Ombo for the unusual double temple of the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris, then sail on to Aswan.
Day 4: Aswan and disembarkation
Full day of sightseeing in Aswan: the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and Philae Temple, reached by motorboat. Time permitting, enjoy an optional felucca sail around Aswan's islands. Disembarkation after breakfast, with your onward transfer arranged according to your travel plans.
