Overview
Le Fayan is a modern luxury cruise ship sailing between Luxor and Aswan, with calls at Edfu and Kom Ombo. It departs every Thursday from Luxor for four or seven nights, and every Monday from Aswan for three or seven nights; we confirm the exact sailing date and cabin before you pay. Every room has floor-to-ceiling windows onto the river. There are four categories. The Deluxe Room is the standard cabin. The Junior Suite adds a larger layout, a king-size bed and a bigger bathroom. The Family Suite has a living area, a private balcony, a king bed and a sofa that converts into beds for children. The Presidential Suite has a separate bedroom, a reception and dining area, its own jacuzzi and a separate shower. On board you will find a restaurant, a lounge bar, a sundeck with a swimming pool, a gym and a small spa with two massage beds and a sauna. Guided visits cover the temples and tombs along the route, and cabins are full board. Note that Le Fayan II is a different ship. Luxor East Bank
Visit Karnak and Luxor temples with your guide, exploring the monumental courts and ceremonial spaces of ancient Thebes. Return to the vessel after the visit.
Luxor West Bank
Explore the Valley of the Kings, the terraced Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon with your guide. These visits connect royal burial traditions with the temples of the West Bank before the onward sailing.
Esna and the river passage
Continue through Esna on the Nile route. The Esna lock crossing is timed with river traffic.
Edfu: Temple of Horus
Visit the well-preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu and discover its courtyards, reliefs and sanctuary with your guide.
Kom Ombo: the double temple
Step ashore at Kom Ombo to explore the riverside double temple dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris. Your guide explains its paired spaces and reliefs before the journey continues along the Nile.
Aswan sightseeing
Discover the Aswan High Dam, the granite quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk and Philae Temple, reached by boat.
Disembarkation and onward transfer
