Departure from Luxor (Stop 1)
Begin your day early with a pickup from your Luxor hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. Enjoy the scenic drive through rural Egyptian villages and lush agricultural fields along the Nile as you head north towards Abydos (approximately 3 hours).
The Temple of Abydos (Seti I) (Stop 2)
Arrive at Abydos , one of the most sacred sites in ancient Egypt. Explore the magnificent Temple of Seti I, known for having the finest, most delicate bas-relief carvings in the country. Your Egyptologist guide will show you the famous Abydos King List—a chronological list of pharaohs—and the mysterious Osireion structure located behind the main temple.
Lunch & Drive to Dendera (Stop 3)
Enjoy a packed lunch or stop at a local restaurant. Afterward, begin the drive back south towards Qena to visit your next incredible destination.
The Temple of Hathor at Dendera (Stop 4)
Arrive at the Dendera Temple Complex . The main Temple of Hathor (goddess of love, joy, and music) is remarkably intact. Marvel at the recently cleaned, vibrant blue ceilings depicting the signs of the zodiac, the goddess Nut swallowing the sun, and various astronomical maps. You will also have the rare opportunity to access the temple roof and the underground crypts.
Return to Luxor (Stop 5)
Conclude your deeply spiritual and historical journey with a relaxing drive back to your hotel in Luxor, arriving in the early evening.
