Overview
A dahabiya is the most elegant way to travel the Nile — a traditional two-masted sailing vessel with billowing sails, polished brass, and just a handful of luxurious cabins. Unlike the larger cruise ships, dahabiyas can dock at small villages and lesser-visited riverbanks, offering a more intimate and authentic experience. Your five-day journey between Luxor and Aswan (or reverse) moves at a gentler pace, with stops at temples timed to avoid the large cruise ship crowds. Evenings are spent moored at quiet islands, dining under the stars on deck with cuisine prepared by your private chef. Each cabin features large windows opening directly to the river, en-suite bathrooms, and traditional Egyptian furnishings. With a maximum of 12-16 guests, this is the Nile at its most personal and luxurious — perfect for honeymoons, anniversaries, or travelers who prefer authenticity over crowds. Luxury Dahabiya Nile Cruise is organized as a day-by-day Nile program with embarkation details, temple visits, sailing or transfer logic and optional extensions explained clearly. Each cruise day now shows what you see, why it matters and how the route connects Luxor, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan.
