FAQ

Which direction does the cruise sail?

This departure sails upstream from Luxor to Aswan over four nights, with guided stops in Luxor, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan. An Aswan to Luxor departure can be arranged on request.

Is the guide private or shared?

All sightseeing is led by a private licensed Egyptologist for your group only. Meals, the sun deck and onboard facilities are shared with other cruise guests.

Can I add Abu Simbel at the end?

Yes. Abu Simbel can be added on day five by private vehicle or by domestic flight from Aswan. We confirm the timing so it fits your onward flight or train.

What exactly is included in the price?

Your written proposal lists the cabin category, meal plan, transfers, guiding and every entrance ticket before you pay anything. Optional visits and tips are always shown separately.

When is the best time to sail?

October to April gives the most comfortable temperatures on deck. Summer departures start sightseeing early in the morning and use air-conditioned vehicles between the ship and the sites.

How many travellers are in the group?

Guiding and transfers are private for your party. The price shown is per person and drops as the group size increases, so tell us your traveller count for an exact quote.

I am travelling with children. Do they pay the full price?

Children under 2 travel free of charge. Ages 2 to 5.99 pay 25 per cent of the tour price, ages 6 to 11.99 pay 50 per cent, and from 12 years a child pays the full adult rate. Child pricing applies to children sharing their parents' room or cabin, with a maximum of two children per room. Tell us your children's ages when you enquire and the quote reflects them.

Is the price per person or for the whole group?

On this Nile cruise the published rate is $2,164 for one traveller, $1,678 each for two, and $1,610 each from three people upward. All prices on this page are in US dollars per person, and the rate drops as the group grows because the vehicle, guide and driver are shared across more travellers. Holiday departures over Christmas, New Year and Easter are quoted separately as they carry a supplement.
