Cairo Day Trip from Hurghada

Cairo Day Trip from Hurghada

A one-day return flight to Cairo from Hurghada covering the Giza pyramids, the Sphinx and the Egyptian Museum with a private guide.

Book Tour

Overview

Hurghada to Cairo is around an hour by air, which makes the pyramids a realistic day trip rather than a separate leg of your holiday. You fly out on the first morning departure and are met airside in Cairo by your guide and driver, so there is no queuing or arranging transport on arrival. The day covers the Giza plateau with the three pyramids and the Sphinx, a stop at the panoramic viewpoint, lunch, and the Egyptian Museum or the Grand Egyptian Museum depending on the day and your preference. You fly back the same evening. Flights, transfers, entrance tickets and the guide are arranged as one booking so nothing is left to sort out on the day. The road alternative takes around six hours each way and is only advisable with an overnight. Trip information Duration: Full Day Schedule: Daily Tour location: Hurghada and the Red Sea Pickup location: Your hotel in Hurghada, Makadi, Sahl Hasheesh or El Gouna Tour type: Private

FAQ

Do I need to be able to swim?

Life jackets are provided and the crew stays with the group in the water, so confident non-swimmers can usually take part in surface activities. If you cannot swim at all, tell us when booking and we will confirm whether this particular trip works for you or suggest a dry alternative such as the glass bottom boat or submarine.

Is equipment included, or should I bring my own?

Masks, snorkels, fins and life jackets are provided and sanitised between trips. Bring a towel, swimwear, reef-safe sunscreen and a waterproof phone case. If you prefer your own mask for fit, you are welcome to bring it.

What if I get seasick?

The Red Sea is usually calm in the morning and choppier after midday, so most trips do the main stops early. Take your medication about an hour before boarding, sit on the lower deck near the centre of the boat and keep your eyes on the horizon. Tell the crew and they will find you the steadiest spot.

Are hotel transfers included?

Yes. You are collected from your hotel in Hurghada, Makadi, Sahl Hasheesh or El Gouna and returned there afterwards. Tell us your hotel name when booking so we can confirm the pickup time, which varies by area.

I am travelling with children. Do they pay the full price?

Children under 6 travel free of charge on this tour. Ages 6 to 11.99 pay 50 per cent of the tour price, and from 12 years a child pays the full adult rate. Tell us your children's ages when you enquire and the quote reflects them.

Is the price per person or for the whole group?

On this Hurghada trip the published rate is $640 for one traveller, $502 each for two, and $456 each from three people upward. All prices on this page are in US dollars per person, and the rate drops as the group grows because the vehicle, guide and driver are shared across more travellers. Holiday departures over Christmas, New Year and Easter are quoted separately as they carry a supplement.

How do I book this tour?

Send your date, group size, pickup point and preferred route for this Hurghada trip by WhatsApp or email. We reply with availability and a clear private proposal, starting from the From $409 shown on this page.

Is this a private tour?

Yes. This Hurghada trip is arranged privately unless you ask for a shared option.
